2006 Yarra Valley Shiraz – $35 From fruit sourced from the ultra
cool, highly elevated ranges at the
southern tip of the Yarra Valley,
the 2006 Jamsheed Yarra Valley Shiraz
was fermented with a greater proportion
of whole bunches (80%) providing
a gamey, wild 'sauvage' tone to the
fruit. Graphite ashen mineral textures
wrapped around pure black cherry
fruit. |

Great Western Shiraz – $35 Immense blue/black colour and a
dense sumptuous body, this wine is
going to be a serious ager. I couldn’t
believe how small the berries were,
almost like puy lentils. This wine
is a perfect showcase of what old
vine age adds to a wine. Liquorice,
black pepper and sweet blackberries
dominate the nose. Salted liquorice
on entry and then folds of brambled
black fruits follow with silky mature
tannins driving through the palate. | ||||

Heathcote Shiraz – $35 This is from the real Heathcote, rich red Cambrian soils, a steep climbing elevation on the high side of the highway. The growing season was so perfect in 2005/6 that only two sprays were used at all. The 2006 Jamsheed Heathcote Shiraz was picked early for fruit freshness and co-fermented with a tiny portion of viognier for added complexity. A very heady brew with perfume, sweet red berry, anise and endless depth. |

José the Rosé -
$15 Jamsheed’s first rose made from saignee juice from the 2007 Shirazes. Barrel fermented and left on lees for six months. This is like blackberry cordial for big kids. |
